In 1903, brothers Ike and George Jalonick took on the gargantuan task of organizing a new Texas-owned fire insurance company after others had tried and failed. The brothers formed a new stock company in Dallas, Texas that would later combine with other companies and eventually evolve into the companies of The Republic Group.
Since inception, The Republic Group has operated by the same guiding principles imbued by its founders. For over 100 years, integrity, honesty and fairness remain the cornerstones of our corporate values.

We offer personal property, dwelling fire, personal automobile and commercial lines of insurance through independent agents primarily in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico and Arkansas. Separately, we manage insurance programs through unaffiliated managing general agents ("MGAs") that target niche markets and underwrite personal and commercial lines policies on our behalf in the southwestern United States and in other selected states. We also provide insurance services to MGAs and national and regional insurance carriers that wish to access our markets and fully reinsure the business written.
